Information has appeared online about the next game from Valve called Deadlock, based on a completely new franchise. About her told an insider under the nickname Gabe Follower through an on X/Twitter, sharing the first details.

- Previously, the project was codenamed Neon Prime and Citadel.

- The setting of the game is fantasy with a touch of steampunk.
- The game has wizards, strange creatures and robots.
- You can quickly move along floating rails, like in Bioshock Infinite.
- The insider called the game a mixture of Dota 2, Team Fortress 2, Overwatch, Valorant, Smite and Orcs Must Die.
- The hero designs are largely inspired by the Dota universe.
- The main map references a modern European steampunk city, a bit like Half-Life.
- The game originally featured science fiction elements inspired by Half-Life and Portal, but after negative reviews the development team decided to focus on fantasy.
