The developers of the MMORPG with sandbox elements Pax Dei have finally revealed the exact release date for Early Access. However, at the same time they published a lot of new details about this stage, so we have prepared a separate article for you in which we put everything together. All information is taken from the official Discord server and official website.
general information
- Early Access release date: June 18, 2024.
- Early access will last until at least June 2025.
- The game is still in alpha testing and development is in full swing. Not all functions are currently implemented.
- The purpose of Early Access is to obtain funding for further development, gather player to improve the game, and show development progress.
- The game will be available on PC via Steam and its own launcher.
- The cost of the game after early access has not yet been determined.
- The final distribution model has not yet been determined. According to the developers, most likely the game will be paid.
- Owners of Founders’ Packs will have permanent access to the game and will retain all of the pack’s bonuses.
- Sets can be upgraded to higher levels.
- Sets cannot be given as gifts.
Pack Contents
There are three sets to choose from (we will add prices in rubles after release on Steam):
- JOURNEYMAN (€39.99) – Access to the game, Founder role in Discord, 1 plot of land, 2 character slots, Exclusive founder equipment recipes
- ARTISAN (€59.99) – Access to the game, Founder role in Discord, 2 land plots, 3 character slots, Exclusive founders equipment recipes, Exclusive recipes for interior items.
- MASTER (€99.99) – Access to the game, Founder role in Discord, 4 land plots, 6 character slots, Exclusive recipes for founders’ equipment, Exclusive recipes for interior items, Exclusive recipes for construction.
Now a little more about the set bonuses:
- A plot of land allows the player to allocate a limited area for development.
- You can combine lots to create larger buildings, or subdivide them to have multiple homes.
- The plots are linked to your and can be used by different characters.
- Lots obtained with Founder’s Packs will remain throughout Early Access. Except for cases of world wipe due to major updates (details below).
- After the game’s release, plot ownership may become a paid service.
- The number of character slots determines how many heroes a player can create on one .
- Additional characters allow you to explore the world, clans, and so on.
- It is impossible to play several characters at the same time from one .
- Founders receive additional recipes for crafting cosmetic items. They do not provide a gaming advantage.
- Recipes and crafted items are exclusive to the founders.
- The equipment set contains 6 recipes for creating unique clothing and accessories.
- The Hunters Lodge set contains 7 recipes for creating decorative interior items.
- Recipes can be used endlessly as long as you have the materials.
- The Wyvern Building Set contains 7 recipes for creating decorative building elements.
- Recipes can be used endlessly as long as you have the materials.
- To access private Discord channels, you need to link your Pax Dei and Discord s. This will allow you to communicate with developers and share suggestions.
Content
- Pax Dei has already implemented the main elements: peaceful interaction with the outside world, including resource gathering, crafting and construction.
- The game offers vast areas for exploration and combat, including PVE and PVP.
- During the early access period, developers plan to expand the games by adding new features and content.
- One of the first updates will expand the social aspect of the gameplay, which will include economic systems such as markets and gold currency.
- This is just the beginning of a long-term plan to create a large community that will the development of Pax Dei for many years after its official launch.
- At the moment, Pax Dei is still in development and does not have all the planned features. It is expected that game mechanics will be carefully balanced and improved.
Wipes
- During Early Access, as content is added, major updates may occur that require a complete reset of progress.
- The developers promise to minimize the number of wipes.
- Ideally, the wipe will be partial (for example, the terrain, not the characters).
- A full wipe is expected before release and is no longer planned.
