Korean company KRAFTON acquired Tango Gameworks along with the rights to Hi-Fi RUSH

The Last City will receive “fundamental” changes - Applications for testing patch 2.0 are now open

Just recently, gamers around the world were stunned by the news of the closure of several internal Microsoft studios, but many were most upset about Tango Gameworks, which released projects such as The Evil Within 1 and 2, Ghostwire: Tokyo and Hi-Fi RUSH. Fortunately, the studio will still continue to exist, and we have the Korean company KRAFTON to thank for this.

It became known that KRAFTON, known for PUBG: Battlegrounds and The Callisto Protocol, acquired the Tango Gameworks studio from Microsoft. Along with this, the Korean publisher got the rights to Hi-Fi RUSH, so we will probably see a sequel in the future. However, the rights to The Evil Within and Ghostwire: Tokyo still remain with the Mikes.

The company said it is working with Xbox to ensure a smooth transition so the Tango team can continue developing a game in the Hi-Fi Rush franchise and explore future projects. According to the statement, this transaction confirms KRAFTON’s commitment to expand its global presence and expand its portfolio with innovative and high-quality content.
