The team behind the extraction action game Dungeon Stalkers has announced the postponement of the Early Access launch, which was originally scheduled for fall 2024. Now the release is expected in early 2025 on PC. This decision was made after analyzing player collected during recent beta tests and demonstrations at the past gamescom 2024 presentation.
The main reason for the delay was the desire to improve the gameplay and ensure more stable operation of the game. The developers noted two key areas that are currently being worked on: increasing motivation for players and refining the core combat systems, as well as eliminating problems with server stability.
The team plans to add more variety of items, improve the mechanics of obtaining legendary equipment, and rework the balance between melee and ranged fighters. There are also plans to improve character animations and overhaul the interface system to make it easier to prepare for dungeon crawls. One of the priorities was also updating the matchmaking system to make it easier for newcomers to enter the game and provide more intense battles for experienced players.
The authors acknowledged problems with servers during previous tests and assured that this will not happen again when launched in early access. The team promises to regularly share details about the progress of improvements through developer notes and community updates.
