At the G-Star 2024 exhibition, the mobile game Down Downtown was presented for the first time, which is being created by the developers of the multiplayer shooter Special Force from the Dragonfly studio together with the Japanese company Funcrew Japan. This project symbolizes the team’s ambition to return to a leading position in the gaming industry and is an important step in their strategy.
Down Downtown is a post-apocalyptic strategy tower defense game where players manage an underground refuge for humanity surviving in a destroyed world and defend against monsters on the surface. The game promises thoughtful gameplay with an emphasis on base management and defense, short sessions, making it accessible to a wide range of s, and offers different difficulty levels and game modes.
Down Downtown pays special attention to low entry barriers and high replayability thanks to visual effects and a deep gameplay system. Dragonfly also sees this project, along with the updated version of Special Force Remastered, as a key element to strengthen its position in the international market.
Down Downtown will release in Japan in the first half of 2025, with a Korean release scheduled for the second half of the year. Unfortunately, the game doesn’t have a trailer yet, but you can check out the first art.
