Valve has summed up the results of the past year and named the most popular and financially successful games of 2024. Data collected from January 1 to December 15, 2024 was used to compile the lists. There are 6 categories in total, in which participants are divided into 3 groups depending on their success.
Platinum games by gross revenue include: Baldur’s Gate 3, Counter-Strike 2, PUBG: Battlegrounds, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, DOTA 2, Destiny 2, Palworld, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, Black Myth: Wukong, Elden Ring, Apex Legends, HELLDIVERS 2. Among the “gold” you can note such online projects as: The First Descendant, Enshrouded, Throne and Liberty, Path of Exile 2 and Dead by Daylight.
The record holders for peak online play, which exceeded 450,000 players, are: Dota 2, Palworld, Black Myth: Wukong, Marvel Rivals, Apex Legends, Counter-Strike 2, Elden Ring, HELLDIVERS 2, PUBG: Battlegrounds and Path of Exile 2 .
Among the best new releases in 2024 are: Path of Exile 2, NBA 2K25, Black Myth: Wukong, EA SPORTS FC 25, DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, Manor Lords, Palworld, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, HELLDIVERS 2.
