The creators of the multi - survival simulator Dune: AWAKENING decided to please the fans of the old Dun games. It became known that intra -game radio will include musical compositions from the original Dune (1992) and Dune II: Battle for Arrakis. This will allow the players to again hear the cult tracks of the 90s, written by composers Frank Klepaki, Philip Ulrich and Stefan Pick.
The game will present a centralized communication network with several radio stations. Among them are the “combine”, on which there are tips on survival, ads and music for spice collectors. There will also be stations belonging to various fractions, including Harkonnen and Atreides, where propaganda messages, gladiatorial battles and military speeches are broadcast.
“The legacy of Dune is not only books and films, but also video games,” said the creative director Joel Bailos. -The soundtracks for Dune and Dune II were iconic for the 90s. We are proud that we can introduce them to a new generation of players through the communication network in Dune: AWAKENING. ”
In addition to musical accompaniment, intra -game radio will also become an important source of information about events on Arrakis. Players will be able to plunge into the study of rich culture and endless conflicts of its inhabitants.
On April 8, 2025, the developers will release the first series of the Five Days in the Carthage, created by the Arrakin Drama Theater. It will be devoted to the events associated with the Harkonnen fortress.
