Capcom announced that the sales of the remake of the Resident Evil 4 exceeded 10 million copies around the world. The project has become the fastest game in the history of the franchise, reaching this mark faster than all previous parts.
The previous official sales report was dated January 5, 2025, when nine million copies sold were recorded. Thus, for a little more than three months, the game managed to overcome the additional million.
Capcom also noted the success of its long -term sales of the catalog. Resident Evil 7 Biohazard (2017) and remake Resident Evil 2 (2019) dispersed more than 15 million copies each. Resident Evil Village (2023) overcame the mark of 11 million, and the remake of Resident Evil 3 (2020) – 10 million copies sold.
The Resident Evil 4 remake was released on March 24, 2023 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S. Later, on December 20 of the same year, the project also became available on Mac, iPhone 15 Pro and iPad devices.
