The Run Games studio has released an arcade football simulator with heroes called Football Heroes League at the early access stage. The game is free, and it will remain after the release, which is expected after about 8-12 months. You can the client on PC in services Steam And Epic Games Store.
The Football Heroes League early access version presents the basic content of the game with the original composition of the heroes, the main game mechanics and the rating system. As they advance to the full version, the developers plan to expand and enrich the game.
“I have been playing football all my life, and many of us in Run Games play it in competitions. We wanted to find a way to combine rapid movement on the field and football tactics with fantastic action and accessibility of arcade sports games, ”says Michael Marzola, creative director of Run Games. “We want the Football Heroes League to give you an idea of the depth of football, but at the same time made it possible to enjoy the wild action that you expect from the video game.”
Football Heroes League is a multiplayer football game with a third -person view, in which classical sports mechanics are combined with arcade elements and superhero abilities. Each player on the field is controlled by a real person, which is designed to give matches high dynamics and unpredictability. The gameplay relies on accurate management, individual characters’ skills and team coordination.
In the Football Heroes League, players have to master the expanded guidance system for accurate gears and shocks, use special techniques that go beyond real physics, as well as master the elements of the technical game – from dribbling to interceptions and subpacks. Several modes are available: from 2V2 and 5V5 matches to the training regime against AI. Development was implemented through a progression system, including unlocking new characters, customization of appearance, completing tasks and increasing the rank in the competitive table.
