Cuisine Royale – What is known

Gaijin Entertainment and Matter Team have announced a new tactical hardcore extraction shooter called Active Matter. The release will take place in 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, but closed beta testing will start this year on the Gaijin.Net platform. To participate you must at official website games.

In Active Matter, players control operatives stuck in a time loop, returning to the same point after each death. For each outing, the character chooses equipment and goes to the so-called quantum unstable zones – territories rich in active matter. This substance has unique properties: it distorts space and time, changes physics, and randomly drags objects and creatures from other timelines.

Traveling through these zones, operatives will encounter competitors from parallel realities, terrible mutants and other creatures of active matter. The main goal of the player is to extract the maximum amount of this resource, pick up valuable items and evacuate before the zone disappears along with everything that is inside. Successfully completing raids not only allows you to survive, but also increases your chances of getting out of the time loop.

In zones, you can extract active matter from accumulations and bodies of opponents, or take it away from other players by force. Dynamic firefights are promised with a realistic arsenal created in the image of existing military technologies.

During raids, operatives will have to hold resource points, perform tactical maneuvers in altered gravity conditions, and even fight with creatures inspired by the world of S, which will give you goosebumps.

At the center of the plot and gameplay of Active Matter is a unique resource – active matter, which not only affects the physical properties of locations, but also has unique capabilities. Scientists have not yet fully discovered its nature, but it is known that it allows one to transport consciousness from one body to another, manipulate gravity, and even create copies of objects from other timelines. In the safe zone at the base, players will be able to copy items obtained from other timelines.

Active Matter invites you to explore a variety of locations, each of which goes beyond the usual boundaries of space and time. For example, one of the zones will be a huge island with rusting Soviet industrial complexes and scientific laboratories, where experiments with active matter once began. Players will be able to search for resources, as well as find clues about the origin of active matter and the consequences of its impact on reality.

In the zones you can find not only armed operatives, but also creatures that have lost their human appearance due to exposure to active matter. These mutants can pose a deadly threat, but in the course of fighting them, characters can also gain unusual abilities.
