A team of ACCHEN developers from a third party Vindictus: Defying Fate published a letter in which it made public the details of the alpha testing. The new stage will be held as part of the Games Festival on Steam and will begin on June 8. The main emphasis in it is based on the reviews of the players who participated in the last March of 2024 Pre-alpha, as well as in demonstrating the updated version of the game with new content, characters and a complexity system.
According to the authors of the project, the March testing turned out to be larger than they expected. It was attended by significantly more players, including those who had not previously encountered the hardcore action games. This revealed the problem of too high complexity, which the developers tried to take into . In the alpha version, two new levels of complexity will appear-“light” and “ordinary”, between which you can freely switch.
The team also added new combat zones. The first of them, entitled the Northern Ruins, combines the elements of the narrative and battles, and the second – the ice abyss – is focused exclusively on the battles. The environment was noticeably finalized. Interactive objects, traps and additional satellite mechanics appeared in the zones, which allows us to call on the pantry or switch to other characters during the age.
The game composition has also expanded. Delia and Bits ed the Lann and Fiona from the pre-alpha, each of which offers a unique combat style. In addition, a new mode “Special Tasks” will appear, which will become available after the plot of the northern ruins is completed. It is noted that this mode is focused on players looking for more complex trials, and it can be ed both alone and in a cooperative. At the same time, at the stage, the groups will be formed exclusively through the matchmaking match – it will not work to assemble your own team in advance.
The authors warned that the alpha version of Vindictus: Defying Fate was still far from the end. The supply system, customization of characters, intra -game equipment and mechanics of improving weapons are under development. In addition, many of the current solutions are temporary and will be significantly processed for release. For example, now weapons improvements are not tied to specific objects, but give constant bonuses to the character itself.
The Vindictus: Defying Fate team expressed gratitude to the community for patience and activity, emphasizing the importance of for the further development of the project. The developers hope that the new alpha test will not only demonstrate the achieved progress, but also allow you to lay the foundation for future improvements.
