Dungeon Stalkers, a multi- PVPVE-explosion, previously prepared for the release under the HYBE IM publishing house, was officially returned to the NEXUS company. Now the game will be developed and serviced by the subsidiary of Oneuniverse, and the change of publisher will enter into force on May 22, 2025. This decision was made by mutual consent of the parties in order to ensure the sustainable development of the project in the conditions of the changing market.
Initially, the Dungeon Stalcks was developed as a single project under the leadership of Khan Dahun and conceived as a game in the sandbox genre with the open world. After the developer ed the Action Square (now Nexus), the project was transformed into a multi - action with Dungeon Crawler elements. The game proposed a study of procedurally generated dungeons, visually expressive characters and gameplay mechanics like the destruction of equipment and the abilities of heroes.
In 2024, Dungeon Stalcks was shown on Gamescom and ed the stages of testing on the eve of early access. However, as a result of analysis of reviews, the developers decided to postpone the release and focus on improving the quality of the gameplay. The game has changed the direction to the Extection-Lite format, which allows players to choose the level of involvement and stress during age.
Subsequently, the project was left by its original leader, and at the director of the director was Go Sejun, who previously supervised Maplestory. From the technical side, the development continues the former team, which, according to Nexus, guarantees continuity and preservation of accumulated experience.
In addition, the company considers the possibility of releasing the Dungeon Stalcks blockchain version through the Cross its own platform, in which the Ragnarok: Monster World project has already been launched. Since the games in the Extraction genre are practically not presented on the blockchain market, Nexus believes that the project has potential for success at the global level.
