Nekki studio introduced the fresh gameplay trailer for Spine, focused on the demonstration of the Freeflow combat system in the spirit of Gan-Fu. The video illustrates the key mechanics of Bet, in which a heroine named Redline uses firearms not only for attacks, but also as a tool for parrying, evading and performing a combo-series. The developers are hiding that when creating the gameplay, they were inspired by cinematic militants in the Gan-Fu genre, focusing on dynamics and entertainment.
According to the presented material, Spine offers not only fights with ordinary enemies, but also battles with bosses in which the player will have to effectively use the Spine implant. This combat module enhances the reflexes of the protagonists and makes it possible to use the environment and improvised means in battle, including temporary blinding of opponents with paint.
Initially, the SPINE output was planned only on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S, but now the developers have confirmed the appearance on the Nintendo Switch 2. True, there is still no exact release date. In addition, it was announced the inclusion of a hardcore mode in the game, designed for experienced players who want to experience their skills in conditions of increased complexity.
