Nexon studio shared new information about the world of the role -playing game Vindictus: Defying Fate, developed on Unreal Engine 5. The project is an independent rethinking of the Vindictus universe (Mabinogi Heroes), inspired by Celtic mythology. Players will have to follow the heroes challenging of fate, and explore the world, covered by the war between people and Fomora.

The setting of the game unfolds in the fantasy universe, where both opposing races seek to execute the prophecy and achieve the promised Erinn, which leads to a protracted and fierce conflict. Players act as a fighter of a detachment of mercenaries Calbram, fighting on the side of mankind. However, outside the obvious confrontation, more complex moral and political motives are hidden, reflecting internal disagreements and clashes of values. As you , players are faced with ambiguous elections affecting the development of events.

One of the features of the project is the system of combat styles and the ability to change playable characters depending on the situation, which opens tactical flexibility even with repeated meetings with already familiar opponents. Additionally, developers focus on deep customization of the appearance of heroes, which allows freely tuning clothes and a color palette, with the exception of faces.

Vindictus: Defying Fate regions include location variable in style and atmosphere. The first zone will be the northern ruins-a territory that was once considered sacred, and now occupied by gnolls.
