The creators of the cozy MMO-sandwich Palia released the update 0.191 called The Elderwood Expansion. This is the largest expansion in the history of the project, adding the new adventure zone Elderwood, which is a forest, immersed in magic and mysterious ancient energies.
Players will be able to immediately gain access to a new location, however, for the full development of the region, it is recommended to first complete the quest line of temples up to the Rooted in Place. The zone is located north of Bahari, and the movement inside it is carried out using a stable network. For finding all points of fast movement, a reward is provided. In addition, the developers introduced the continuation of the main storyline, as well as many side tasks.
A new NPC appeared in the game – a boy named Ulfa, a representative of Madraan’s Podraza. He will gradually open to players as friendship develops in future patches. Resources previously inaccessible in other parts of the world are also added. Among them are infected essences, which can be collected only with the help of special tools unlocked during the plot progress. These materials are needed both for creating new items, and for interaction with unique objects, such as Umbraan shrines. The latter, in exchange for special flowers, allow you to get artifacts and sets of resources. Artifacts themselves play an important role in the new system of relics – a special type of equipment that gives bonuses not only to the character, but also to the entire group.
In addition to the mechanics of collecting, craft and combat activity in Elderwood, new creatures, fish, insects, culinary recipes and furniture sets, including decorative objects collected exclusively as part of the study of the location. The decor location in the home area is also increased – from 3,000 to 3500.
