The long -suffering MMORPG with elements of the sandbox FRACTURD Online is going to restart again. Initially, the game was published in the early access stage in September 2022 under the publishing house Gamigo and spread through the Buy-to-Play model, but already in December it was announced the temporary closure of servers.
The first restart in early access took place in November 2023, and in August 2024, the FRACTURED Online reached a full release. Due to extremely low online, the developers transferred the game to a free distribution model in November 2024. However, even this did not help the project achieve success.
Now Dynamight Studios has announced that the FRACTURED Online will be restarted for the second time. The servers will close on June 15, 2025, after which work will begin on the updated version. In the third quarter of 2025, a series of tests will begin to hone “Balance, Sensations and Design”. The release will take place in the first quarter of 2026 along with a completely new page on Steam, where there are no longer the old reviews, which are currently “mixed”. In addition, as the developers reported, they “revise the branding of Fracutred Online”, which may mean a change in the name.
How will the updated version differ? Firstly, the FRACTURD Online will switch to the new network infrastructure of Cohereance, since the current is already outdated and is not safe. Secondly, large-scale changes will be made to the gameplay. The developers promise to completely rethink the game, including pumping a character and PVP, archetypes, combat mechanics and visual accuracy. It is reported that these changes are incompatible with the current version of the project.
All s who have purchased one of the founder sets will receive equivalent objects in the updated version. Kickstarter awards will also be revised. If you made a VIP subscription, then it will return to your after the restart in full. The store tokens also do not go anywhere.
