A week after the return of the “classic” version of World of Warcraft to China, NetEase announced a special campaign to suppress the actions of cheaters, bots and other violators. Players who have not previously been punished can receive valuable prizes for their reports of specific offenders. To do this, you need to use the game functionality or write a message to technical through the WeChat application. The promotion runs from June 29 to July 28, and the 100 players who send the most reports of confirmed violators will receive a reward.
If a person provides information about the developers and distributors of fraudulent programs (cheats, bots, etc.), NetEase offers a payment of up to 100,000 yuan, which is approximately equal to 1.2 million rubles. The evidence must be complete for the Chinese police to be able to initiate a criminal case.
Despite the fact that this promotion ends on July 28, it is likely that a new stage will be announced in August, since the current version of World of Warcraft returns to China on August 1.
