Nexon has announced that it will become the publisher of Project DW, an open-world role-playing game based on the Dungeon & Fighter universe. The project is aimed at a global audience, and Nexon Games is responsible for development. Release dates have not been announced at this time.
Project DW is an open world role-playing game for PC, consoles and mobile multi-platforms. Players will be given the opportunity to explore the continent of Arad and take part in intense battles involving a variety of characters.
We previously shared details of this game based on vacancies: it is a project in the spirit of Genshin Impact and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. It will feature multiplayer and animation style graphics while maintaining the spirit of the original game series. There are a ton of characters to collect. In addition to the open world, there is room for dungeons.
“Project DW is a major new project that combines Nexon Games’ development capabilities with Neople’s flagship Dungeon & Fighter franchise as it prepares to hit the global stage. With Project DW, which will be an open-world action RPG, we will lead the development of the Dungeon & Fighter franchise and create a full-fledged game in close collaboration between our two companies,” Choi Sung Wook, Head of Nexon’s Publishing Division.
“We will do our best to combine the features and strengths of Dungeon & Fighter with the open-world action RPG genre and convey the unique feeling and novelty of the original game,” Park Young Hyun, CEO of Nexon Games.
