At the opening of the Summer Game Fest 2025, the main announcement of the presentation was held – Capcom officially presented the Resident Evil Requiem, the ninth main part of the cult series. The events of the game will unfold in the destroyed city of Rakkun City, marking the long-awaited return of the franchise to this sign location after many years.
Grace Eshcroft, an FBI agent who arrives in Raccun City to investigate a series of mysterious deaths, will perform the central character of Resident Evil Requiem. Among the victims is her own mother, the reporter Alissa Eshcroft, known for the game Resident Evil: Outbreak. In the debut video, the species of Raccun City, including a recognizable police station, were demonstrated.
The Resident Evil Requiem release is scheduled for February 27, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S.
