South Korean Studio Shift UP officially introduced the new name for its ambitious cross -platform project. The game, previously known by the code name Project Witches, is now called Project Spirits. The developers describe it as a “subcultural title” (i.e. anime-gachi), inspired by the theme of “eastern fantasy”, and the global release is planned only in 2027.
According to the team representatives, Project Spirits will become the next flagship intellectual property of the studio after Stellar Blade and Goddess of Victory: Nikke. Shift UP emphasizes that the project is developed as a high -budget game that meets the highest industry standards, and should inherit the success of their previous hits both in of visual style and in the development of the world.
At the same time, the studio opened a set of specialists in the Project Spirits team. Among the current vacancies are artists on the background and monsters, screenwriters, level designers, as well as specialists in combat mechanics and content planning. The requirements for the candidates include experience with Unreal Engine 5, participation in the development of JRPG or games in anime stylistics, as well as the creation of open worlds, large cards and dungeons.
