Square Enix opened Special sitededicated to the 25th anniversary of Jrpg Final Fantasy IX, the anniversary of which will be celebrated on July 7, 2025. As part of the celebration, the company announced a series of projects, including the production of souvenir products and musical releases.
On the eve of the anniversary, the release of Final Fantasy IX Picture Book: Vivi, Grandpa, and the Day of Departure – an illustrated book for 44 pages, which will go on sale on July 2. It is also expected to launch a thematic lottery and collections of official goods, including a ZOFF collaboration that produces exclusive glasses in early July.
On July 9, the Final Fantasy IX 25th Anniversary Vinyl – Timeless Tale vinyl record will be released, containing new music from the game, including the updated version of Melodies of Life. In addition, Square Enix prepares figures, soft toys and collectible decorations inspired by the Final Fantasy IX universe.
Initially, the Final Fantasy IX was released on July 5, 2000 at the PlayStation 1 and has since dispersed more than 8.9 million copies around the world. Recently, rumors about a possible reprinting of the project have again intensified again – a few years ago, a leak from the NVIDIA database indicated the updated version. Recent information from Epic Games Store also mentions a project with the code name MOMO, associated with bonuses for pre -order referring to the game.
