Not so long ago, the developers of MMORPG with elements of the sandbox PAX Dei announced that s who do not pay for a monthly subscription will not be able to own their own home. This statement caused a storm of discussion, so the team decided to try to make clarity about the new distribution model.
After the subscription is completed, the player’s section goes into a frozen state. At this stage, it is impossible to edit permits, and the construction of new facilities becomes impossible. However, access to existing buildings and storage is maintained. If the player does not extend the subscription, the site is released, and its contents are transferred to a special line of recovery, allowing the future to quickly restore property in another place. It is important to note that the liberation of the site also leads to the loss of expanded space around it, and the objects placed there become public and begin to collapse.
Only its owner receives notifications of the expiration of the site, however, the status of “frosts” will clearly be displayed in the game. The possibilities of transferring the site between the players have not yet been implemented, but such a function is in development. It is also confirmed that in the future the system of permits to the plots will be processed: it is planned to add more flexible settings, including the opportunity to provide access not only to the clan participants, but also to other proxies.
As for the subscription, the developers confirmed that it will be necessary only to obtain and withhold their own areas. Players without subscription will be able to continue to play using the infrastructure in the starting zones of Petra Dei, build on the areas of friends or clan, as well as use intra -game trade and economy without restrictions. There will be no opportunity to give a subscription to another player at the start, but the authors consider this opportunity for the future.
The free subscription issued to the founders will begin from the moment of the first entrance to the game after the release of version 1.0. Depending on the acquired set of Founder’s Pack, players will receive a certain number of sites and access to exclusive intra -game content.
The studio emphasizes that the purpose of the changes is to provide players with a flexible choice, to maintain a stable economic model of the project and at the same time expand access to the game without mandatory costs.
