The developer of UncApped Games with deep regret announced the termination of the development of the PVP-oriented RTS Battle Aces. This difficult decision was made after the analysis of reviews and results of April testing.
“This decision was not taken frivolously. Battle Aces was a bold vision – our attempt to rethink the real -time strategy for a new generation. We sought to create something fast, tactical and affordable, but at the same time preserve the depth that makes RTS special. At each stage of work, from internal playbacks to closed beta versions, we were fed by your enthusiasm, reviews and . ”
The project was announced as part of Summer Game Fest 2024 and attracted the attention of the players not only with his colorful trailer, but also the name of the developer. The head of UncApped Games is David Kim, who previously headed work on a balance in Starcraft II in Blizzard Entertainment. Battle Aces was positioned as fast PVP-RTS with short matches and great depth.
The first closed tests showed that the players did not appreciate the gameplay, and the interest in the game fell literally after several matches. The developers tried to fix a number of most criticized moments and conduct large -scale testing, but it turned out that the project was un demanded and did not cause broad interest.
