The Publishing House of ThQ Nordic and the Grimlore Games studio announced the postponement of the early access of the isometric roe of Titan Quest II. Initially, the launch on the PC through Steam was planned for the winter period 2024–2025, but now the release is postponed until the summer. The full exit of the game is also expected on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S later.
According to representatives of ThQ Nordic, the reason for the transfer was a high saturation of releases in the Action RPG genre, which is why the team decided to highlight the Titan Quest II more suitable window to attract deserved attention to the project. What kind of games are we talking about – the publisher did not specify.
Grimlore Games thanked the players for actively participating in a recent testing of demo. According to the data provided, more than 92% of the participants estimated the experience as positive or very positive. A fighting scene with the first boss was especially highly appreciated – an apolonia terrible, as well as visual execution, sound and study of the surrounding world.
Nevertheless, the developers recognized the presence of aspects requiring improvement. In particular, we are talking about the smoothness of the combat system, the accuracy of aiming skills and a general balance. Work is already underway to improve these elements, along with the optimization of performance and the introduction of functions requested by the community, such as customer control and improved interface elements.
The Grimlore Games team emphasizes that he seeks to create a full -fledged heir to the original Titan Quest, preserving the spirit of the classics, but adapting it to modern expectations. Preparation for early access continues taking into the reviews of the players and the necessary polishing of the key mechanic.
