Zenimax Online Studios conducted the presentation of ESO Direct 2025, during which it revealed ambitious plans to MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online for the current year. New Content release format
In 2025, The Elder Scrolls Online developers introduce a new extension format – Content 2025 (2025 Content ). When buying it, players will gain access to the entire main plot content, new territories and dungeons. The system will replace annual chapters and DLC previously produced.
Prologue “Guild in Crisis”
Already now, all The Elder Scrolls Online players can immerse themselves free of charge at the beginning of the new saga through the Guild in the crisis, available in the crown store. In this adventure, you will unite with Prince Azu from Sentinel to investigate the revival of the worm cult. The quest introduces the new opponents, the abductors of the souls, and for the first time will introduce an updated system with options for the player, which allows you to choose a tone in dialogs (for example, ruthless or flirty) for a deeper wagering. Part 1: Western Saltis
The first chapter of the “Circle of the Worm” seasons, which goes on June 2 for PC/Mac and June 18 for Xbox/PlayStation, will transfer the players of The Elder Scrolls Online to the Tropical Island of Soltyis. World event “The fall of the wriggling wall”
Tentatively in the autumn-winter 2025, a unique one-time world event in The Elder Scrolls Online will occur. Players from all over Tamriel have to combine efforts to break through the wriggling wall. Everyone will be able to help, even owners of the basic game, collecting resources for the assault. The success of this event will open access to the next part of the island.
Part 2: Eastern Soltis
After the wriggling walls fall in the fourth quarter of 2025, The Elder Scrolls Online players will be able to go to the gloomy and dangerous eastern part of Saltis, distorted by the influence of the worm cult. New dungeons
The 2025 content also includes two dungeons for groups of 4 players for The Elder Scrolls Online. The first set called “The Fallen Ban” is already available and contains the dungeons “Expelled Redut” and “LPP Seluz”. The second set of “Pir shadows” will be released in the third quarter of 2025 and add the dungeon “Forge of Black Stones” and “Naj Kaldish”, plotly related to the cult of the worm.
Free update 46
Simultaneously with the first part of the content, June 2 (PC/Mac) and June 18 (Xbox/PlayStation), there will be a free update 46 for the basic version of The Elder Scrolls Online, which will bring important innovations.
The main feature of the patch will be the subclass system. It will allow players to replace up to two of their three class branches of skills with branches of other classes, opening up new opportunities for creating hybrid builds. Did you want a dragon knight with the icy magic of the keeper or lightning of a sorcerer? This will become a reality. It will be possible to change the subclasses at Staldarr sanctuaries or with the help of redistribution scrolls. This system will be completely free.
For players returning after a long break, the “Hero Return” function is introduced. She will offer optional training, a special quest guide “The Golden Purpose” and unique entrance awards to help quickly get used to it.
ESO Plus subscribers will receive a furniture storage – a collection item that allows you to store up to 500 unique glass of furniture, available from any home or an editor of housing. This will greatly simplify the management of objects of the situation.
In addition, the update 46 will bring other improvements in the quality of life, such as the modified map interface with improved clues and the appearance of quests, improved training materials on road sanctuaries and, which is especially important for console players, full for addons on Xbox and PlayStation.
