The Lest Game Group of Companies launched commemorative events in three of its projects, such as the World of Tanks, the World of Ships and Tanks Blitz. Events are dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Each of the games received special thematic updates devoted to key historical events, as well as virtual reconstructions, parades and memorable awards for players.
In the “world of ships” there is an event dedicated to the exploits of the Baltic Fleet. The port of Kronstadt is decorated in a festive theme, including salutes and air show. The central part of the update was the strategic operation “Baltflot’s exploits”, covering the path from the breakthrough of the blockade of Leningrad to the completion of hostilities in Europe. The new “Last Harbor” map was created on the basis of archival materials recreating the atmosphere of post -war Baltic. The program will complete the program of the Victory with the participation of ships.
The World of Tanks launched the event “Time of Heroes” since April 30. The main hangar of the game is stylized under Red Square, where on May 9 the virtual parade of tanks participating in the Great Patriotic War will be held. As part of the military , reconstruction of significant battles are presented – from the battle for Moscow to the assault on Berlin, where players can control equipment under the guidance of historical military leaders. Also in the game, the “Front Diary: the Way to Victory” is available – a cycle of historical materials about the events of 1945 and outstanding workers of the war. In May, a special combat with the ability to unlock the German trophy tank “Mouse” will also be available.
Finally, the Tanks Blitz mobile game hosts the May Salute event, in which players receive special resources for launching fireworks for successful actions in battle. The festive hangar, musical accompaniment and Soviet technique, dedicated to the anniversary of the Victory, are designed to supplement the atmosphere of the celebration.
